Best Trencherman’s Chef

Our Head Chef Elly Wentworth has won Best Trencherman’s Chef at the 2020 Trencherman’s Awards which is an amazing accomplishment and she is the first female chef to win the award.

We as a team are so proud of Elly’s achievement and were with her to celebrate on the night.

The Trencherman’s Awards have been the South West’s most prestigious dining accolades. The shortlist was whittled down to four grand finalists in each category by our Trencherman’s readers.

On the night Elly said

“It has been the toughest year but the most rewarding. Thank you to all my team for the support and now onto 2020.”

“It has been a great first year for us at The Angel and Elly has worked so hard to make it a success and her winning shows just that and we are lucky to have her here and we are looking forward to the next year.”
