Curtis Pitts Deer Services & Greenstraight Scallops

Curtis Pitts Deer Services was recently established in 2016. Curtis has grown up with a passion and interest in the management of deer instilled through the generations from his grandfather to his father and has now taken the family tradition of managing deer to the next level.

Curtis not only manages deer on parkland and wild estates but also supplies his quality venison and game to local butcheries and restaurants in Devon.

Greenstraight Scallops are the only seafood purveyor in the UK to harvest wild scallops through freediving. Each scallop is caught on a single breath of air.

No air tanks, no clever equipment; just a big pair of fins, take a deep breath and fall through the water to around 50 or 60ft. In a time where our customers are so much more aware of the quality, sustainability and provenance of our food, there is no purer way to source scallops than this.

Devonia Natural Devon spring water

Devonia is a family run business supplying delicious still and sparkling natural Devon spring water. Bottled at source from an ancient spring near Beeson in the South Hams, they are the only spring water supplier in southern Britain that washes and reuses its bottles. They collect our empties, wash and reuse them. What this means is that Devonia reduces our carbon footprint by 16 times, whilst supplying us with a premium product.

We are an artisan chocolatier based in Devon on the shores of the beautiful river Dart. Overlooking Dartmouth and out to sea, our U&E kitchen studio is a truly inspirational setting. Barnaby’s Brewhouse is an independent small-batch brewery based on the Riverford Farm estate near Staverton. Certified by the Soil Association it uses quality ingredients, natural spring water and sustainable business practices to produce a range of organic ales and lagers that are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The multi-award winning business became the first ever winner of the Environmental Sustainability Award in the Taste of the West Awards 2019 and was also awarded ‘Best Beer’ in the Soil Association’s Best of Organic Market Awards that year."

Sharpham Wine and Cheese

They were in the first wave of modern vineyards to get going after the demise of all commercial vineyards during World War II and have been at the heart of the industry for 37 years. They have been producing wine for nearly twenty five years. Their wines are stylish and offer intense fruit flavours and aromas, which are made from carefully selected grape varieties grown on our own sheltered slopes overlooking the River Dart.

As the local vineyard we work with them closely stocking both their wine and cheeses.
